Most people or companies who run a website want the users to do something more than view content. They may want them to buy a product, sign up for a newsletter, or download an e-book. But in order to do that, you need to have a call to action button. If you are wondering how to split test your Wordpress site, search no longer. Lee Wills has developed the SES split testing plugin for Wordpress themes. Instead of just split testing elements in Google Optimizer, this plugin allows you to split test whole themes. Just setup a Google Analytics account, install and activate the plugin and your visitors will randomly will see one of the chosen themes. You can then view which theme performs better in Google Analytics and increase your conversion rates. A great usability plugin that’s easy and effective.

Here’s a short WordPress code that I wanted to share with you. I came across a little problem of displaying 2nd and 3d level of navigation in a sidebar no matter what page am I on. After googling for solution, I put together pieces of a puzzle and came up with a short code snippet.
I created a new page in my theme that I’ll be using from now on for displaying side navigation from 2nd level downwards. I named it subnav.php and it’s included in my sidebar.php
<?php include("subnav.php"); ?>
Here’s the code from my subnav.php:

It is a typical Tuesday afternoon in suburbia California. Jenny, a sixteen year old girl is taking a sick day from school. With a runny nose, she sits idly on her bed surfing Facebook. At the same time, 2,000 miles away in Seattle, a twenty-two year old ambitious college drop-out named Kevin is on Twitter complaining about his sore throat. Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, a 40 year old single mother in London searches Google on her phone for the location of the nearest Boots drug store so she can buy cold medicine.

Link building for small ecommerce sites can be amongst the toughest SEO challenges – but also the most common. I’d like to share a few bits of advice for anyone rising to the challenge – whether you’re working in-house or as an agency.
These are targetted at small companies, probably with limited internal resource or a small SEO agency contract, and who don’t have a PR firm able to get them into newspapers or an advertising budget that will put them in magazines, on radio, etc.
Tip 1: Reviews
If you sell huge ticket items this doesn’t...

Looks like Google is creating a NEW Google search index which includes crawling, indexing, and ranking changes. Based on what Matt Cutts has stated, this could give less credibility to page rank as it will crawl the web more comprehensively. Google is asking web developers to test their new search engine and give them feedback. You can try it out by clicking this link: Google Search Index

Have you had a decline in sales from your PPC campaign? Perhaps it’s because your distance to a sale is too long. In today’s world, consumers have a “want it now” mentality and the longer it takes your visitors to find their desired products, the less likely they will stick around. Here are 10 ways to shorten the distance and increase conversion:
1. Understand and meet your visitors’ expectations: Your website should define who your target audience is and the website must be ready to give the visitor what he or she wants. If you aren’t sure, survey your customers and research your...

Dark web designs today have become popular because they eminate a classy and elegant feel. However, almost 50% of people do not like dark web designs because of a lack of readability. Although dark designs can have a striking visual impact, many readers don’t like reading light text on a dark background because it strains their eyes. Here are a few tips to make your next dark website design appeal to a broader audience.
1. Use more “white” space. “White” is a figurative term for “blank” space. Dark designs can have a tendency to feel...
